About

Inspired by the islands that they represent, the Islands of the San Juans Playing Cards™ were created on Lopez Island, Washington, by Joshua A. Eide.  Having traded in the cornfields of his birth in the Midwest, the Salish Sea is now his home.  Learning to sail aboard Capella, his Stonehorse 23 sailboat, Joshua was inspired by the charts that guided him in and around the San Juan Islands.  Looking to inspire others with his passion, he hand-drew each of the 52 different islands featured on the Islands of the San Juans Playing Cards™, identifying the suits to correspond with the four ferry-serviced islands: Lopez, Shaw, Orcas, and San Juan, with neighboring islands making up the suit.  Thank you for your support!
